*Background — Significance of Abortion Issue:
-Loss of Constitutional Right in June of 2022. In the Roe v. Wade decision of January 1973, the Supreme Court decided that the right to privacy implied in the 14th Amendment protected abortion as a fundamental right. In June of 2022 the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Roe vs. Wade decision by a 6-3 vote in Dobbs vs. Jackson Health Organization.
