Organizations: Economics (Bidenomics)

*Government Organizations and Economics. The USA is mostly a market driven economy, but the government has a substantial influence on the economy. Economists identify six major functions of governments in market economies. Governments provide the legal and social framework, maintain competition, provide public goods and services, redistribute income, correct for externalities, and stabilize the economy. There is also sometimes direct governmental involvement, that is more controversial, in providing funds for certain types of businesses or sectors of the economy that advance government policies, such as investments and incentives for green energy businesses.
